Jon Pitoniak

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  

Jon oversees delivery of facility assessment and audit reports, and is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and detail of Verité’s assessment work and related written material. In his time with the organization, Jon has been involved in a variety of projects beyond factory assessment work, including assisting with Verité’s government grant activities and research into labor law. Jon is also helping to coordinate development of new factory assessment and reporting tools. He assists Verité’s clients in their remediation efforts at the factory level, coordinates communication with the organization’s field offices, and provides research data gathered from Verité’s extensive experience conducting factory assessments and consultations.

Purpose  

Assist the organization in creating real on-the-ground change through effective use of Verité’s reporting and assessment tools. Provide Verité’s clients with the information they need to effect sustainable remediation and change.

Background  

Jon has studied, lived, and worked in China. He holds a double BA in Government and East Asian Studies from Bowdoin College, and is finishing an MA in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts.
