Background

Karen Schneider is a senior communications and marketing executive who helps national and global social justice organizations create public awareness and policy change. Ms. Schneider, a former journalist, is currently Vice President of Communications at the National Women’s Law Center, a women’s rights policy and advocacy organization in Washington, DC. She previously served as Director of Communications at Greenpeace USA, as Deputy Executive Director/Communications at Amnesty International USA, and as Director of Communications at the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League. Ms. Schneider previously worked as a reporter and editor at such newspapers as the Hartford Courant and Detroit Free Press. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Women Policy Studies in Washington, DC.
