Director of Programs

Lydia Long has been with Verité for over 10 years. She has designed and managed Verité's worker education, auditor accreditation, and supplier self-governance programs. Lydia's current focus is Verité's Systems Approach for companies, which eliminates the exploitation or abuse of migrants, children, and other especially vulnerable people. Lydia oversees the development and implementation of Verité's Consulting, Training and Worker Education Programs worldwide. She has most recently guided or led Verité’s capacity-building and consulting engagements with such leading brands and MSIs as Gap,  Walmart, Apple, HP, Timberland, 21st Century Apparel Coalition, Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition, and the Global Social Compliance Program. Lydia is a published author and journalist who has worked at the New York Times. She holds a double BA from Tufts University.
