Grants Manager

Debra Hertz is responsible for the administration of Verité’s institutionally-funded initiatives. These projects, financed through numerous government or private foundation sources, cover a broad range of labor and corporate social responsibility topics.  Debra coordinates the grant-seeking process from project conception to contracting and throughout project implementation.  She develops budgets, manages the expenditure of funds, and reports to funders on the progress of Verité’s multi-year research, training, and supplier related initiatives. She brings extensive knowledge of both grant-seeking and project management. Debra has worked as Verité’s Grant Manager since 2003.  Prior to that, Debra held senior management positions at several other private non-profit organizations. She has a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
