On May 18 – 20, 2009, Verité convened an Expert Panel in Accra, Ghana titled “Knowledge into Action: Balancing the Need to Know with the Need for Change.” Knowledge into Action brought together a wide array of stakeholders for a robust discussion about the role data plays in improving conditions on the ground. Participants took an in-depth look at research that has been done to date (including costs, methodologies, etc.) and considered what can be done in the future to improve and coordinate data collection, public reporting and remediation.
